I thought this will be boring movie based on the true story. But it was good.Basically,(I’m not gonna say the tragic ending.) well-educated son of well-of family but his dad divorced to marry the mistress, he felt like he doesn’t belong nowhere.His family was materialistic,would always fight bout money, he went on the trip to Alaska by himself. He wanted to find out about true happiness, meaning of life. It made me cry because I think when I left my country, I had same kind of issue. Something in me was telling me to leave everything. I felt as I don’t belong nowhere. so for me, Alaska is to achieve my goal. but lately, I feel as even though I don’t get to Alaska, I’ll be ok.  watch it!  I’ve been eating Alaskan Salmon lots, what you eat is who you are. salmon has a sense to return to it’s birth place to spawn, if I eat enough, I wouldn’t need navigation system anymore. I eat corn. keeps me yellow. Proud to be a Jap.
