Life can be seen in simple mathematics:

Experience + Talking/Discussing + Learning + Knowing + Thinking + Dreaming + Ideals + Discovering = LIFE

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up...... Yeah that's working....

lol, That's why I said you can still idealize however. I think right now there is a chance that aiko to us stands for an ideal bigger than she actually might be. However what is life without dreaming and discovering, right?

I actually don't care a lot that she's asian, since 60% of the world lives there. I might care a little bit that she's japanese, but most of all I just like the blog. It's a great place to be, so therefore I love it!

That was an very real and interesting comment Massimo. And I really enjoyed reading it. There is absolutely no doubt that a community of loners is possible...! I really appreciate you talking and being open about your experiences in both Europe and Jamaica. I love hearing about the things that multicultural/multiracial people experience!

I believe that Aiko Hime went through the same stupid things. I really hope she will read this and talk about it. Because many americans are small-minded and ignorant, still have that "all asians to look alike" mentality. As a matter of fact I remember a year or two ago, a white guy actually said on tv "through my caucasain eyes all japanese men look the same to me" Crazy thing to say on tv?? Even if he really felt that way, he should have kept that to himself, off tv.

Whenever I meet people of other races, they say to me "you don't act like black" or something like,"your very nice" and "you are not like the others in your race" Huh??? But it doesn't bother me, because it proves that everyone is not the same. And stereotypes don't apply to us all. But you can't judge a book by it's cover, or go by what other people say about the book. Sometimes, you have to actually read it for yourself.....

Look at Aiko for example: she is not clueless, stuckup and ditzty, like the average model. And we can actually communicate and talk with her on her blogs! Hey and check this out: she really does read our comments and talk back to us too!!! I don't know other cute asian models that do that! That means alot to me!!
I went crazy again......

Well of course you're right, but we're cultural right now. I always see culture more as the general peception of a certain society. So in that case the society can be cocky.

As individual you of course can break the bands with this, however an the other side it's also great to have a community of likeminded people. They can boost eachother. I wonder if a community of loners would be possible:)

Myself I'm pretty much a mix of different races (I also have black roots from my mothers side) and as a child I lived in many countries so that automatically makes it hard for me to belong to a group.

Most of my life because I grew up in Europe I considered myself a coloured guy, till I came to Jamaica last month and they called me "white boy" all the time. Made me realize once more realize the stupidity of the whole issue. People can change, perceptions can change, you're right let's try not judge people.
You can still idealise however...
