The Last king of scotland, sausage and ham.

Posted by Aiko in Blog

I know Forest Whitaker was great in it, I know that was based on true story of Ugandan dictator Amin but not my favorite movie. THANKS NETFLIX for referring this movie because I liked Blood Diamond. This movie is good, but after taste is horrible. I couldn’t look at bacon or any cut meat. I lost my appetite and end up eating cookies and candies. This is definitely not the movie to watch by yourself with headphone in the closet with your laptop thinking that you will have Dolby theatre. At 10 am. I saw soy-sauce on red leather chair, freaked out thinking it’s blood. I don’t think it was even original. It was low sodium ones. I felt sissy. People used to call me bulldog in a skirt.  I can’t sleep now.. waaa P.S.I love, love love all your comments. But Do not use my blog to promote your own shit. ex) I want to go out with Aiko. No. Aiko decided to focus on herself for now. I think some posts and bulletins are funny.I like people here. Have you notice on myspace? I get the post like ” Aiko call me, I lost your number.” I’m like” I don’t know you, how could I? You live in Israel. “

I loved Last King of Scotland. I thought both Forest Whitaker and James McAvoy were great.

Oh, and Aiko, please quit calling me so much!

hahaha that’s exactly what guys say. or they claim that we used to date back in school. I’m like bitch, I went to highschool in Japan. The college I went in Boston was stupidly expensive so we had only like 10 people in each class. hated school but Boston have the best clam chowder. I’m allergic to shellfish but I risk my life for it.Mmm

Usually the best movies have food for thought, and have alot to teach. They are something “mentally heavy” to think about, but they also come with very sad afterthoughts and bitter aftertastes that you will remember for years… Sausage.. Ham…. Turkey… Beacon… Giblet… Hamhocks…. Hot Dogs….

And why was you called a little puppy in a skirt? Which reminds me… ..you don’t really wear skirts much, do you…? You’re more of the basic “jeans and open toes heels” type, right?

Forest Whitaker is a very overlooked, talented dude. He doesn’t get the attention and recognition that he deserves. …you care to talk about what you learned from the movie~~~?

I never wore short skirt at signing, car show because crotch shot is not ok on my list. Look at Britney and Paris’s. It looked like dolphin head was sticking out. It was like sea world under her skirt.. I wore jeans so I can back flip, spit, and cartwheel if my fans asked me to.

I’m going to stick with not so heavy movie next. remember schindler’s list? I had to spongebob square pan-thon after that.

    not heavy…try Battle Royale

I always like your stories about going to private schools, buying expensive shoes, checking in to fancy hotels for their bathtubs. I think it shows that you really take care of yourself, which I somehow find sexy.

PS: When you’re really scared you can call me (doesn’t really sound like selfinterest)

Battle Royale and Schindlers List are both classic movies…
Akira Kurasawa and Kinji Fukasaku are two of the best directors….
But I need to see Battle Royale II
Oii Aiko, what other good memories you have about Boston??

battle royale is good. but heard 2 wasn’t that good.
    Boston

    Clam chowder
    White hen
cambridge didn’t have any public restroom
I stayed in my dorm during winter break. That was the dumbest thing ever because it was cold and I was by myself.
landsdown street, I was 19 and go-go dancing in my overall. Totally different from LA style.
Taking bus alone to go to NYC
Had first real boyfriend in college days.

Hmmm this gave me an idea of next blog. Thanks M&A.

    Your welcome, I-ko
I love to invade, tresspass and influence your brain.

    Three more questions here.

    Do you ever miss Boston??
If you could go back to your Boston days, what whould you do differently??
    What would you change??

Cool, soon we’ll end up competing for the position of Aiko’s consigliere:P

I don’t miss Boston much, but miss Tokyo and I’m going to see my fam. end of this year.:)
Boston day…. What would I do different? I think I did a pretty good job getting accepted straight from Highschool in Japan. I was so homesick till I made friends. All I had was boombox and brown teddy bear.

I see…. …..the humble times in life like a boombox and brown teddy bear……
I also have three more questions, but maybe this is too much right here……

I want to ask about “your honest perception of american society/people, when you first got here??”
I also want ask you “what were the challenges for a woman being of both Japanese and Korean heritage with little /no english??”
“What are the main differences (pluses and minuses) about here and Tokyo?”

But that would take this blog in a whole ‘nother universe that you probably would not handle going to.
As you can see I have a weird habit of doing this…… ;P

come on aiko, it’s just 3 more questions..

  13. Aiko said,

What are differences about here and Tokyo? This would be my next topic

  14. Massimo said,

    on August 16th, 2008 at 11:42 am

With here, you guys mean L.A. or the States? A city to city comparison, should be different than a country to country comparison right?

What I also think would be interesting is if the people of Tokyo also regard themself as special/different to the rest of the mainland and what they think these differences are.

In Amsterdam we’re pretty cocky about being the capital of the Netherlands and consider almost everything outside as “farmland”. Are Japanese people cocky as well?:)

Every race and place on earth has both cool/humble/down-to-earth people, and cocky/stuck-up/self-absorbed people.
Many americans are cocky as hell too!!! But there are some very rare and damn-near-impossible-to-find humble, down to earth people here too.
This is also an individual thing too.

Take myself for example: I am not the average black person.
So everything negative stereotype/conception that you heard about my race, doesn’t really apply to me.
I am weird and bizzarre, so I don’t really fit that description…. LoL

    Aiko
    …..between Tokyo and American cites……
….between American people and Nihonjin hitobito……
…..and don’t bite your tongue, because only small minded/limited thinking people would be the ones to get truly offended with whatever you say, without truly trying to understang you first……

I hope every question is ask you become a blog topic of some sorts……
That would be sexy! You would truly rock my world with that…..

Well of course you’re right, but we’re cultural right now. I always see culture more as the general peception of a certain society. So in that case the society can be cocky.

As individual you of course can break the bands with this, however an the other side it’s also great to have a community of likeminded people. They can boost eachother. I wonder if a community of loners would be possible:)

Myself I’m pretty much a mix of different races (I also have black roots from my mothers side) and as a child I lived in many countries so that automatically makes it hard for me to belong to a group.

Most of my life because I grew up in Europe I considered myself a coloured guy, till I came to Jamaica last month and they called me “white boy” all the time. Made me realize once more realize the stupidity of the whole issue. People can change, perceptions can change, you’re right let’s try not judge people.
    You can still idealise however…

  17. Aaron said,

    on August 16th, 2008 at 8:35 pm

That was an very real and interesting comment Massimo. And I really enjoyed reading it. There is absolutely no doubt that a community of loners is possible…! I really appreciate you talking and being open about your experiences in both Europe and Jamaica. I love hearing about the things that multicultural/multiracial people experience!

I believe that Aiko Hime went through the same stupid things. I really hope she will read this and talk about it. Because many americans are small-minded and ignorant, still have that “all asians to look alike” mentality. As a matter of fact I remember a year or two ago, a white guy actually said on tv “through my caucasain eyes all japanese men look the same to me” Crazy thing to say on tv?? Even if he really felt that way, he should have kept that to himself, off tv.

Whenever I meet people of other races, they say to me “you don’t act like black” or something like,”your very nice” and “you are not like the others in your race” Huh??? But it doesn’t bother me, because it proves that everyone is not the same. And stereotypes don’t apply to us all. But you can’t judge a book by it’s cover, or go by what other people say about the book. Sometimes, you have to actually read it for yourself…..

Look at Aiko for example: she is not clueless, stuckup and ditzty, like the average model. And we can actually communicate and talk with her on her blogs! Hey and check this out: she really does read our comments and talk back to us too!!! I don’t know other cute asian models that do that! That means alot to me!!
    I went crazy again……

  18. Massimo said,

    on August 17th, 2008 at 8:31 pm

lol, That’s why I said you can still idealize however. I think right now there is a chance that aiko to us stands for an ideal bigger than she actually might be. However what is life without dreaming and discovering, right?

I actually don’t care a lot that she’s asian, since 60% of the world lives there. I might care a little bit that she’s japanese, but most of all I just like the blog. It’s a great place to be, so therefore I love it!

Life can be seen in simple mathematics:

    Experience + Talking/Discussing + Learning + Knowing + Thinking + Dreaming + Ideals + Discovering = LIFE

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up…… Yeah that’s working….
