Races
From your past comment on my blog, I want to pick this topic. There is no day goes by hearing racial comment living here. I just vallet park my car and the guy said thank you in Chinese. At least he was thankful. I could be offending people at thai restaurant asking for fortune cookies.(some does have it though!)I had a friend who made fun of my accent saying “herro.” If you really want to make fun of Japanese people, we don’t have R sounds in Japanese alphabet. Japanese alphabet is consist of 46 katakana, 46 hiragana and 3000 kanji. I was at this dinner party, old man asked me and my friend if there was a massage room. We both were dressed very conservative. That’s the kind of shit we go through being asian. Ofcourse I’m a smart ass and always have something to say. This known football player kept on saying “lucy, lucy lu. I love you!” so I told him ” Thank you Micahel Jackson.” Some people are ignorant and you can’t take them seriously. Do you go through what I go through by being you? Black, hispanic, gay, whatever. I try not bias people. Because I am mazzo ball soup drinking, kool-aid mixing, line dancing, Lowriding Jap.

It’s really cool that you opened up and spoke on this, ’cause you know I was wondering about that for a while now, and I kinda felt like you didn’t want to deal with that right there.
No offense, but I just enjoy talking to women about random, thought driven, personal, everyday things. It was really cool how you took those awkwards moments and brushed them off as plain ignorance, because that shows that you are the smarter, better person. The “Micheal Jackson” part was funny. “Do you go through what I go through by being you?” Funny and cute rhyme. You need to get that trademarked. Aiko’s personal quote or chatchprase…..
Even though we are all of different races and places, we are all the same when it comes to ignorance, discrimination, racial slurs, ephitets, etc. Because we all go through it at some point. And when we were young and ignorant, we did it to ourselves and each other all the time, because we didn’t know better.
Many people get mad if you call them “ignorant”, because they think it means “stupid”. But people need to understand that the word “ignorant” only means “don’t know, “not knowing” or “no knowledge of”

Ah racism and stereotypes… now there’s something you probably can’t escape. Racism however you could probably avoid, but stereotyping is a really difficult matter one cannot easily avoid. It is true a lot of people are careless and such, but at the same time some people are ignorant of some matters and subject people to established stereotypes, hence why we get mad whenever we’re labeled as such. That’s why us being humans, we try to establish ourselves as something unique, fitting outside the normal. For example, around my hood most of the Chinese ABC people LOVE that expensive-ass horrible clothing known as Abercrombie, Hollister, American Eagle, etc etc. That’s about the only damn thing they ever wear. You barely see a Chinese girl or guy wearing other clothing than just that brand. It really bugs me too, because stereotypes are never a good thing… matter of fact, they’re annoying!
Sometimes to never be a victim of generalized stereotyping, we always experiment and try various new & fresh things one would never expect that person to do. We try to be unique. That is what separates us from the established stereotypes. I get the point you making about stereotypes and such, Sometimes people confuse me for being Arabic, and people jester around them terrorist jokes; that slightly bothers me. Then, when people do get my nationality right, they always crack up them border jokes. It’s okay when friends do it, cause you know when they’re kidding or not… but when total strangers do it, it just frustrates you.
People should really get some better street smarts or common sense…
